Integrate cutting edge design for student learning with MEP systems design
Project Description
Commissioning services were provided for Northwest Independent School District’s third new high school, V.R. Eaton. This 21st-century educational facility includes a competition gymnasium, 800-seat performing arts center, cafeteria, and a coffee bar. V.R. Eaton is the third new high school for Northwest ISD - one of the fastest-growing school districts.
The building design requires the MEP systems to develop in non-traditional ways. MEP impactful design features included floor-to-ceiling windows, integration of geothermal heating and air systems, and an open learning environment with pod-style classrooms.
The HVAC equipment consisted of ground source heat pumps, energy recovery units, and exhaust fans. The indoor lighting controls and the domestic hot water system were also included in Campos’ scope of work.
