Project Description

The new I.M. Terrell Academy concentrates on Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM), Humanities, and Visual & Performing Arts (VPA). The I.M. Terrell Academy creates a learning environment that will develop and nurture artistic talent, creative thinkers, and innovative problem solvers who will change the global landscape for generations to come.

This state-of-the-art facility includes a 900-seat performing arts center, courtyard, gymnasium, kitchen, and classrooms. Campos provided NEBB certified testing, adjusting, and balancing services for the academy. The scope of work for the two existing buildings included testing, adjusting, and balancing rooftop units, fan coil units, exhaust fans, and unit heaters. The new performance hall building was conditioned utilizing variable volume air handling units, an energy recovery unit, and a new central utility plant with chilled and heating water pumps serving air-cooled chillers and boilers. Campos’ skills set ensured the building systems were operating at peak performance and were working as efficiently as the design intended.
