The historic Denton County Courthouse was designed by architect W.C. Dodson in 1896. Formerly housed the Commissioners Court, County Judge, Economic Development department, Historical Commission department, Commissioner Precinct 1 and Precinct 4. Today it is known as the Denton County Courthouse-on-the-Square Museum and serves as the home for county offices, a museum, and
grave for John B. Denton.
